Amazing Moment Breech Baby Is Turned Around Manually Inside Womb
Every institution has a board of governors who sit and set rules and regulations or what others may call policies and code of conducts to ensure that those working there maintain certain standards. The Code of Ethics for the Catholic School are the same for the teachers, students, parents and employees. They statethat, anyone who fails to conduct themselves in accordance with the Catholic morality and the rules of the school and the diocese will be dismissed. All are to avoid any embarrassment or scandal to the individual school or the Diocese. The policy states: “If the Professional Employee engages in conduct in or out of the workplace which, in the judgment of the Principal, constitutes serious or public immorality, sacrilege, lewd conduct, endangerment of health or safety, abusive conduct, public scandal or the rejection of, or the holding up to doubt or question of, the official teaching, doctrine or laws of the Catholic Church, the Professional Employee may be terminated immediately, without prior notice.” Naiad Reich, a teacher who taught at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School for two years, has recently been fired from her position on the grounds of “immorality” Reich informed the school administrators that she was expecting a child out of wedlock. The decision to terminate her employment was made then after. When asked by some news people, the diocese said that her employment termination were due to legal reasons and  turned down any more requests to comment on the situation, Reich is not pursuing any legal actions either but she says she misses her students and that she will try to appeal the diocese’s decision. Reich and the boyfriend Matt Graboski are not Catholics, so they decided to start a family with no plans of getting married soon. Despite the harsh reaction from the school, Graboski told the news that he is “extremely excited” about Reich’s pregnancy. “It’s one of the most rewarding things you can possibly go through, “he added. They just want to get married on their own terms, and if that means losing a job, then so be it.

School Lets Students Get PE Credit By Doing Yard Work For The Elderly And People With Disabilities

A school is swapping out regular physical education activities for yard work and people are thinking it’s an awesome idea! Thanks to a recent change in their school curriculum, students at the Alternative Learning Center (ALC) in Dubuque, Iowa, can now earn their PE credit when they help senior citizens or people with disabilities with their yard work and landscaping needs.

The Alternative Learning Center teaches juniors and seniors who are at risk of dropping out or are having a hard time succeeding in the more traditional school setting.

“In Iowa, alternative education is a perspective, not a procedure or a program. It is based upon a belief that there are many ways to become educated, as well as many types of environments and structures within which this may occur. Further, it recognizes that all people can be educated and that it is in society’s interest to ensure that all are educated.” The Iowa Department of Education’s website reads.

A teacher at the school, Tim Hitzler, said, “The students and I … come out and help (those needing their assistance). Could be raking leaves, pulling weeds, cutting grass, cleaning gutters, just depends on what they need.”

Hitzler said that he wanted students to perform yard work for the elderly and disabled for credits as it benefits all parties involved. The teacher further added that while the students weren’t too thrilled at the prospect of getting themselves dirty, they have come to love doing it after they saw the finished product and how happy it made their neighbors.

“The students aren’t typically too excited at the beginning but once they get involved and start doing the yard work they become more motivated. What they really like is helping people. They really like giving back to people and meeting the person.” Hitzler said.

In fact, the program has now become so popular with the students that some happily volunteer to work through summer.

“I’ve had students that graduated that have come back to help. There’s something about helping people that really need it.” Hitzler told People.

We think this is such a great idea. What do you think about this program?

10 Surprising Symptoms of Stress That You May Assume And How To Deal With Them

Published

Mood swings, irritability and some acne are some of the most obvious signs of stress that we all know about. However, there are more symptoms of stress that we may not be too familiar with and probably brush them off, without realizing our bodies are actually trying to let us know that something is amiss. They include:

Pain in the neck

“Stress definitely affects our musculoskeletal system, resulting in tight, contracting muscles and/or spasms,” Dr. Lombardo says. “It gets us ready for fight-or-flight, even though unlike our cave-women ancestors, we don’t actually need our bodies to react like this.”

To ease the ache, slowly turning your head around and taking 5 to 10 deep breaths will do the trick. You can also massage the area gently.

Regular headaches

Stress is a common cause of tension headaches that have triggers like light sensitivity. Managing your stresses is the only permanent cure for it.

Rashes on the skin

Having a random rash appear on your skin could also be a sign of stress. The rashes often appear as raised spots or hives on the stomach, back, arms, and face. “While we don’t know why it occurs, some experts believe that it has to do with the adverse effects of stress on the immune system.” Dr. Elizabeth Lombardo says, “Histamine is released, [and that causes] these itchy bumps.”

Taking breaks to breath deeply will help in stress reduction.

Nausea keeps hitting you

Stress can actually make you physically sick, some people often feel nauseous, but its usually temporary. Chewing ginger will help much on it.

Loss of memory

Even simple tasks like remembering where you placed your cap can be hard when stressed. “Chronic stress can literally shrink the size of the hippocampus, which is responsible for some memories,” Dr. Lombardo says. “Luckily, its size will go back to normal once your stress level reduces.”

Physical exercises come in handy.

Drop in libido

Mayo Clinic have reports on low sex drive being linked to stress and advises seeing a counselor if you are missing out on your sex life significantly.

Indecisiveness

Stress causes distractions and you lose focus on your to do list. Exercising large muscle groups will help in regaining clarity. Being outside in the light will also help by boosting your serotonin levels thus improving your mood.

You start having cavities

This is majorly caused by grinding of teeth when stressed. Try setting aside time to list down your troubles and ways to solve them. This will help with reducing the pressure you feel.

You become lazier, feel physically exhausted and just want to sleep

Stress hormones cause an adrenaline surge, the body eventually crashes and sleep is all you want. Stress can also ruin the quality of your sleep, so you wake up tired and irritable.

Getting in bed half an hour earlier than usual helps in decompressing as the environment is calming. Electronics should also be powered down for more effectiveness.

“I went to a party, Mom,  I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,  so I drank soda instead.

I really felt proud inside, Mom, the way you said I would.
I didn’t drink and drive, Mom, even though the others said I should.

I know I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom, as everyone is driving out of sight.

As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I’d get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me, so responsible and sweet.

I started to drive away, Mom, but as I pulled out into the road,
the other car didn’t see me, Mom, and hit me like a load.

As I lay there on the pavement, Mom, I hear the policeman say,
the other guy is drunk, Mom, and now I’m the one who will pay.

I’m lying here dying, Mom.  I wish you’d get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom?  My life just burst like a balloon.

There is blood all around me, Mom, and most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom, I’ll die in a short time.

I just wanted to tell you, Mom, I swear I didn’t drink.
It was the others, Mom.  The others didn’t think.

He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is,
he drank and I will die.

Why do people drink, Mom?  It can ruin your whole life.
I’m feeling sharp pains now.  Pains just like a knife.

The guy who hit me is walking, Mom, and I don’t think it’s fair.
I’m lying here dying and all he can do is stare.

Tell my brother not to cry, Mom.  Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom, put “Daddy’s Girl” on my grave

Someone should have told him, Mom, not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom, I would still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom.  I’m becoming very scared.
Please don’t cry for me, Mom.  When I needed you, you were always there.

I have one last question, Mom, before I say good bye.
I didn’t drink and drive,  so why am I the one to die?

Please share this story with all your friends on Facebook to show that no one should have to die because someone makes an irresponsible decision to drive while drunk.
